Cover Letter

It is a good way to explain how you are, what do you need and what you offer.

5.1 Give a general description, indicating how many are in the family, your ages and your worries as parents as well as your family’s needs and interests; your reasons, goals and expectations for your exchange, what you do, what are your beliefs or familiy traditions.

5.2 If you are a host family, we recommend that you describe your home: it is important that other members have some idea of where they will be. Whether you live in the countryside or a city, close or far from facilities, in the mountains or by the coast etc.

*Be honest: describe your habits, family values, traditions, tastes, needs and your reasons for wanting to do an exchange. You can also describe what type of family you’d like to contact you and what type of family you are seeking.
You could also make a video, copy and paste the YouTube link into your cover letter. A video is an original way of introducing yourself and gives more confidence to the other families browsing.

Add information

In “More about my family” section you can include information such as your profession, studies, ages, etc.

Having a complete profile lets other families know that you’re intentions to exchange are serious and genuine and increases your chances of finding the perfect exchange.
