Hello, my name's Erik, I'm 15 (16 when looking for a host) and I live near Vancouver in BC, Canada. I come from a large family and have 1 younger brother and 2 younger sisters. I have been in French immersion since grade 1 and am fluent in the language, I have also started learning Spanish and plan on starting either German or Portuguese in the fall. Sadly, my family cannot host an exchange student right now, but I would love the opportunity to go abroad and experience another culture firsthand. I don't have one specific country I want to go to, but I am trying to plan a semester abroad from February-July of 2020. The most important aspect for me is being genuinely integrated into the daily life of a different culture and your family. I also would like to attend a local school in my host country, but I don't need to get real credit for it, I want to more for the experience. If you would like, I am also able to help with English tutoring for children. So if you are open to a long-term stay and you think you could be able to help me get placed in a local school then maybe we could work something out. I would want to become like part of your family for my stay, and I would help carry my weight with chores etc. but also would hope that you would include me in outings and activities that you do.
