Dear Family,

I am Lea. There´s a lot to say about me but I´ll start by saying that there are two sides to me. There is this outgoing talkative person, who is

always on the move. She likes to visit the movies with her friends or simply drive around with their bikes and discover the quarries and the beautiful landscape nearby. She is always laughing out loud and talking about some fun memories with her friends.

The other side is the quieter creative side. She likes to write poems herself, to draw especially humans and portraits, or enjoy a thrilling

book while listening to some music on her headphones while snuggling with her cat.

Animals mean a lot to me. I grew up with them always around me and developed a deep love for them. No matter if it’s cats, dogs, horses,

rabbits…the list goes on and on. I just like to have them around me, feeding them, petting them. I´d love to make my passion for animals

my profession in the future by becoming a vet.

When I am really exhausted from stressful school life, I like to balance it out with some family time. Especially when my little 3-year-old

niece is visiting her auntie Lea. My heart melts every time I look at her little smile. Since I grew up with two brothers, who were,

unfortunately, a lot older than me, I like thinking about her as my little sister. Don´t get me wrong, I loved my childhood with my two strong

guardians, who were always by my side. Till today we are often just sitting together chatting and joking around. On big holidays like

Christmas, we spend the whole evening playing board games and cards. We have been doing this since our childhood, those are my

favorite moments with my loved ones, especially since my two brothers´ wives joined those game nights. More people, more fun.

I would be so thankful if you would give me this opportunity by hosting me for a year as a member of your family. I am so excited to meet

you soon and I am looking forward to the wonderful memories we will make together.

I have a scholarship known as the CBYX scholarship. Unfortunately my agency had to cancel my flight, because they couldn't find a host family for me. I desperately need one, or I'll have to stay in Germany and my dream won't come true.
