Paula V

We are a Catalan family currently living in Barcelona. 

My name is Paula and I will turn 19 this September. My brother's name is Arnau and he is 17 years old. We live with our parents and despite the fact that now we are living in Barcelona (very close to the center of the city), we still have our second residence in a quite and beautifull village (30min to Barcelona and very close to different Parks that are considered universal heritage.).

Our parents have brought us up -always- stressing the importance of being respectful, emphatic and thankful. For this reason we agree and share the Code of Good Conduct of this Platform. 

I (Paula) lived in Ireland for a year when I was 16 years old. After my experience abroad I figured out that I did not only learn English (my level had improved) but I also learned many other things that one cannot find in a book: by living with another family I learned about their customs, their values, their country... I also opened my mind and realised that it's up to us if we want to live new experiences. 

During this academic year (2016-2017) I've done my first year of Collage in a degree called 'International Relations'. This summer I want to travel again to an European country not only to learn a little bit about the country but also to meet new people through whom I'm sure I'll learn so many things! 

As a family we would be delighted to host someone interested in learning Spanish -or Catalan- or simply in visiting Barcelona (Catalonia).
