Dear travelers,
My name is Josephine, and I am a very passionate advocate for sustainable living, women's empowerment, and community development. I am excited to be connected with like-minded individuals and families through this network!
About me: I am the founder of Eco Agric Uganda, an organization that promotes eco-friendly practices, sustainable agriculture, and community engagement. I live in Hoima, Uganda, in a quiet, rural setting with gardens and rich culture.
What I'm looking for: I look forward to welcoming travelers and students who are enthusiastic about sustainability, community development, and cultural exchange. I look for guests who show some or all of these characteristics:
• Interested in learning from eco-friendly practices, sustainable agriculture, community development
• Willing to participate in community activities: farming, cooking, craft workshops
• Open to immersing yourself into Ugandan culture and learning from our community
What I offer:
Home stay in warm and cozy rural setup
Learning process on sustainable agriculture, eco-practices, and community development
Traditional cooking, music, and dance to experience immersion into culture
Networking with local communities and organizations involved in sustainable development
Why I want to host: Cultural exchange and community engagement are seen as powerful ways to create positive change. I dream of hosting travelers and students with the hope that I share my experience and passion about sustainability and community development; learn new ideas, perspectives from every person who's going to be part of the organization; connect with people and build friendships; network into a global connection of like-minded people who care deeply for our Earth and its future.
Expectation: I expect respect, open minds from all whom I invite. And I hope for so much more than an interesting conversation and laughter, perhaps with deeper understanding of cultures and values.
